Obama Senior Adviser Appeals to Black Voters

(Washington D.C.) Obama Senior Adviser David Axelrod appealed to Black Voters Monday morning after African-American Unemployment numbers were criticized by the Black Caucus.

The dismal unemployment figures: 13.4% for all African Americans and 22.4% for African Americans between the ages of 18-29 were in stark contrast to that of 7.8% for all Whites.

The Black Caucus issued a terse statement from Capitol Hill that said in part: "If this President continues to neglect the Black community in regards to jobs, then the Black community just might neglect him in regards to election day."

Upon hearing the statement by Black Caucus members, Axelrod immediately took the hill giving, as he explained it, a shout-out to Black Senate and House Members to remind them that the President is bi-racial, and therefore half-white.

"The President and I are both pretty sure that it is his white-half that continues to stifle job opportunities for Blacks." Axelrod said, then raised a black-gloved fist in the air, and began singing, We Shall Overcome.
