Cruz Was on Secret-Mission in Cancun

 Igloo, Texas - Governor Greg Abbot confirmed to the Thrifty Nickel on Monday, that he had requested that Senator Ted Cruz travel to Cancun on a top secret mission for the state.

"I think it's important for the press to know that Senator Cruz was in Cancun on a top secret-mission to bring powdered water back for citizens of the Great State of Texas. The suitcase the Senator is shown wheeling through the airport holds enough powder to provide water for the entire state. And powdered water is considerably cheaper to bring into the state than cargo planes laden with bulky pallets of water."

Senator Cruz verified the Governor's report from his hotel room in the Bahamas. "Everything Governor Abbot spoke to is correct. And for the record, I also did it for my daughters, you know, to show them how good a Dad I am. And so there is no misunderstanding, I am in the Bahamas on another top-secret mission."
